Lodge

Jump to navigationJump to searchBirch Rock's Lodge was the first building to go up on campus. It's construction began in 1925 and it was completed and ready to go for the 1926 season. The original lodge lasted on posts for almost 70 years before there was a threat of building collapse. In 1994, the building was jacked and placed on a cement foundation which should stabalize it for many many years to come. The camp spends a lot of time in the lodge with meals and other indoor activities. Perhaps the coolest thing about Birch Rock's Lodge is the wall to wall plaques you can see when you walk inside. Every camper who has ever attended Birch Rock has their name on the walls by year. This tradition started with "Chief" Brewster in 1926 and still goes on to this day.
