Blitz is an Evening Activity invented by the CITs of 2010.

Rules

There are two teams of in-between ten and twenty campers, all with shirt-tails. The goal is to carry the ball (either a soccer ball or volleyball) to your team's "end-zone", usually marked by the vans on the camp-side of the field, and by the tall tree on the road-side of the field. The ball is carried by hand, and the ball carrier can only run laterally or backwards. However, they can pass to teammates in any direction. Possession is decided at the start of the game, and there are three ways to change possession; if the ball carrier's flag is pulled while he is still touching the ball, if the ball is knocked down before reaching a member of the team currently in possession, or if the possessing team reaches their end-zone and scores. Once possession changes, a member of the team gaining possession picks up the ball and has three seconds before his flag can be pulled, providing him with some (but not too much) breathing room. If a team manages to score, the teams switch end-zones, and the scoring team kicks it off to their opponent.
