Killer Bass

There is a large bass with razor sharp teeth said to be lurking in McWain. Just like the Lochness Monster or even our own McWain Monster, many have claimed to see it but few have any real evidence. They say that it like's to hang out underneath the raft or sometimes even under the catwalks. Stories of the Killer Bass seem to most often pop up during a long distance swim or during a night swim when your heading out to the raft and can't see in the water.

In the mid-'90s, Counselor Tyler Johnston made a spear with a large elastic on the end to do some spear fishing. With mask and snorkle Tyler was on a quest to track down this elusive Killer Bass. Although he was never successful in catching the fish, he was able to get a couple smaller guys. Tyler's same spear was used a few years later by Clinton O'Leary. Clinton was able to spear a fish or two, but he too had no luck finding the Killer Bass.

Is it possible that it's still alive and swimming along the shores of McWain? Or maybe the McWain Monster finally decided to have a nice big snack.
