General swim in the muck cradle

General swim is a time when campers go down to the lake to swim for about 15 minutes. Every camper needs to general swim once a day. Campers in Lower Camp you do it in the morning and campers in Upper Camp you go in the afternoon. A camper can go to both if he wants to. On Sundays there is only one general swim but the whole camp goes to it and both cradles are used, the muck cradle and the clean one. The cradles are the two swim areas used for general swim and for younger campers for Instructional Swim. The catwalks go out from the shore in a T shape and the cradles are the two spaces under the top of the T. On the right there is the clean cradle that is used for most general swims and on the left there is the muck cradle that is mostly only used on Sundays when the extra space is needed. It is called the muck cradle because there is a thick layer of muck covering part of the cradle below the water.
