Russell Wilson

Activities: Field Director

Years Experience: 2

Hometown: Rapid City, SD

Cabin: Omar’s

After leading trips in 2013 and then guiding the Seattle Seahawks to their first ever Super Bowl victory over the winter, Russ is back at Birch Rock as the Field Director this summer. A 2004 graduate of Wayland University in Texas with a degree in Physical Education and History, he brings a decade of teaching, coaching, and summer camp experience to the hilltop. He ordinarily splits the off-seasons between South Dakota and Bend, Oregon, where he enjoys coaching football and track, snowboarding, writing, bird watching, and stalking the elusive yeti. “Coach” has received a free birthday Grand Slam from Denny’s for 14 years running, and after camp he will be pursuing a Journalism degree at the University of Oregon.
