In 2007, the campers were told that the theme of the week was going to be musicals and that everyone should have songs in their skits. The staff decided to perform Harry Potter's West Side Story. This skit was written by Matt Clifford with help from Sam Deeran. Matt even tracked down and old sewing machine from Janice Walker and decided to sew up the robes and costumes. Matt and the other key staff in the skit each spent a late night whipping up their robes and wands. The lyrics for the songs were perfect. Matt did a wonderful job writing Potter lyrics for West Side Story tunes. The staff did a wonderful job with the songs on the stage, many of them reading the lyrics right off a piece of paper in their hands or taped to their arm.
