Cabin 1, also known as Bee's Hive, is the 3rd cabin in Lower Camp after Hilton A and B. It holds four campers, a counselor, and usually a CIT. Cabin 1 was one of the original cabins to be built at camp. When it was built the cabins at camp were called "Tents" because they had canvas roofs, only later were shingled roofs built. Cabin 1 goes on trips and has Cabin Night with Cabin 2.
In '80s & '90s, some would call it "the Fortress" because it was surrounded by light at night. It had the lower washouse light, the Hilton light and the lodge light all around it at night. This was the perfect night light for younger campers.
