Instructional swim an activity where campers learn to swim. It is mandatory, every camper is signed up for it one period every day there are activities. Instructional swim starts with some stretches and exercises. After that usually come laps which are done in the cradles or out in the swim area. Other than laps ther is sometimes diving pracitice, diving for rings, or just relaxing and having fun out on the raft. Instructional swim is unlike other activities because it does not have badge parts. Instead there are long distance swims a camper can do if the waterfront director thinks the camper is good enough to do it.
